As this is a new space, I thought it would be good practice to introduce myself and tell you a little about My Flower Patch.
What are the stages when working with My Flower Patch for your wedding flowers?

You like my style of naturally arranged wedding flowers. Simple beauty, with an eco-friendly background. Created using British-grown flowers, and sustainable floristry techniques.
As you might expect we here at My Flower Patch think that flowers are a beautiful and essential part of weddings and events. But did you know that the floristry industry as a whole can be quite harmful to the environment? Traditionally florists have often used imported flowers that have been grown with heavy pesticides and fertilisers. These flowers are then transported long distances, which contributes to the carbon footprint of your event.
If this matters to you, as it matters to us, you will be pleased to know that at My Flower Patch we are committed to sustainable wedding and event floristry.
An October wedding outside in the UK? Likely? Well, that was what was discussed – but we had options – that’s the beauty of Chalk Barn in Rushall, Wiltshire, it is perfectly situated for easy access from Salisbury, Marlborough, or further afield. You can have your ceremony inside or out with just a few tweaks, and I always plan the wedding flowers for ceremonies there accordingly. Plus you just have to see those views over Salisbury Plain to believe them.
"S" was sooo excited about her flowers, as was I. The brief was “Nothing too perfect or neat. Naturally imperfectly beautiful. Seedheads, grasses, and texture. Lots of autumnal greenery.” Natural flower arrangements were definitely on the cards for this Wiltshire wedding.

We are more and more aware of the need to change and adapt our daily practices to lighten our footprint on the planet Weddings are a time to celebrate, and with the increasing awareness for us all to look towards eco-friendly practices in order to help protect the planet, many couples are now looking for ways to make their big day as sustainable as possible. One way to do this is to opt for elegant, naturally-styled arrangements featuring British-grown seasonal flowers.
E&A celebrated their September wedding in a festival-style event in a Wiltshire woodland with a tipi in a field. The groom for this wedding has to be the MOST smiley groom I have ever met. As we were delivering the table flowers he was there putting finishing touches to various things and the smile on his face was beaming from ear to ear the whole time.
Sustainability and using local independent businesses was very important to E&A. I sourced as many locally grown flowers in their colour scheme as possible. Some were grown just 1.6 miles away from their wedding, and all the flowers and foliage used were British-grown.
