Friends of My Flower Patch

My Flower Patch has lots of Friends!

Here are some of our extra special ones that we love working with, or being associated with in no particular order.

We are proud to be associated with The Finlay Foundation. This is our nominated charity for 2015. This charity was set up in memory of Finlay. Money raised by the charity helps to provide play equipment to hospitals, children’s hospices and charity run children’s centres. They also raise money for The Wiltshire Air Ambulance and The Great Western Air Ambulance. They are well known locally for providing high visibility vests for children in schools, nurseries and cub/scout groups to raise awareness of child safety.

My Flower Patch supports the Finlay Foundation

We are so happy that playing with flowers, and talking about them on social media has made us many new friends. Louise Curley is very dear to our hearts. Otherwise known as Wellywomanblog on Twitter, Louise is, amongst other things, the author of The Cut Flower Patch, a book we highly recommend and still refer to for advice. Her blog is a great read, where she shares her adventures in wellies, gardening and in life in general.

We were so excited when Chelsea came to stay as a Workaway volunteer. We had heard great things about her from our friend Lara over at Manor Farm Cottage Flowers. Our expectations were exceeded! Chelsea writes the wonderful Frolic blog, and is a fabulous person to have around. She’s an Instagram whizz, an amazing photographer and a fabulous florist.

We were thrilled that Katie Spicer from Katie Spicer Photography joined us for a day on My Flower Patch. Her photos are dreamy and she is so easy to work with. Katie really put us all at ease and made it a very stress free event. We would highly recommend Katie to anyone who wants to capture the true beauty of his or her work. Thank you Katie, you are welcome here anytime!

Our website has been built by Bob McDonald of Advantic Ltd. He has worked tirelessly and dealt with any queries Sara has had with a smile. He has also taught Sara how to “have a go herself” and now she can find her way round to maintain and update the website!

A little word for my other business Our Flower Patch that I run with my friend and business partner Cally Smart of Countrygate. Pop along and check out the website if you are interested in more information about an educational programme designed to fully utilise a school garden to teach the curriculum. We also have a blog where we post top tips about gardening with children and other related issues.
